On a bright Sunday morning, 44 enthusiastic children embarked on a unique adventure. Their mission: to explore the wonders of the wet market and unleash their creativity through art. With 34 young artists from Zinc Art Studio and 10 kids from the friends and family of JCI Sunway Damansara members, the day was filled with curiosity and excitement.
🦀 An Eye-Opening Wet Market Experience
The wet market visit left the kids in awe as they encountered real sea creatures. Their reactions ranged from surprise to fascination, and even a touch of discomfort in the bustling, live-slaughtery environment. One adventurous young boy boldly requested a fish from a vendor, and to his amazement, he was gifted one to take home.
🌟 Creating a Memorable Impact
This event also made an impact on the market vendors, many of whom had been there for 50 years but had never seen so many children exploring their stalls.
🥪 Recharging with Delicious Breads
After the market adventure, the hungry kids enjoyed delicious, freshly baked bread generously provided by TBS Bakery, all the way from Banting, Selangor. It was a moment to recharge and savor.
🌊 Educative Ocean Theme Briefing
Back at DASEIN Campus, Patricia Leong from Passion Maker delivered an enlightening briefing on the importance of our oceans and the need to reduce single-use plastic. The kids actively engaged, highlighting the importance of early age education.
🎨 Artistic Expression Knows No Bounds
The children then had the freedom to express their experiences on canvas, which they proudly displayed on the wall. Their artwork ranged from stories about the ocean to poignant depictions of pollution's impact on sea creatures.

At the end of the day, the kids shared their thoughts and experiences with their parents. It was heartwarming to see their courage and creativity shine.
